| Do you
have trouble changing a watch battery? In this fun video, watch a
TWO YEAR OLD GIRL change the battery on a watch.
I'm
sure you're found yourself in this position. You have an
inexpensive watch that you like and use, but the battery has died.
To replace the battery will cost you about $6. (that seems to be
the going rate here in NYC) But for $10 you can buy a BRAND NEW
WATCH!
Thus, the dilemma -- Do you invest
$6 in an old watch or pay a little more for a brand new one?
It's not a simple decision. I've
had a dead Rolex knock-off on my kitchen table for over a month
now. All it needs is a new battery, and it will be good as new...
(well, good as a cheap Rolex copy can be). But I leave it on the
table, thinking I will buy a replacement instead. But when I look
at the cheap watches for $10, I think "Maybe I'll just
replace the battery on the one back home." And months pass in
this state of indecision.
I suppose one solution is to buy a
quality watch, then the decision to replace the battery is a
no-brainer. I'll think about it for six months or so and get back
to you. |
